This company subcontracted the painting and decorating work to our Company and over this period we carried out in excess of £600,000 of painting works.
This contract was managed from our Richmond, North Yorkshire Branch Office and comprised a series of orders for internal and external repainting of many fire station premises. Flexibility is key on contracts of this nature as the scope of works can vary from a full internal and external station redecoration to the painting of a couple of new doors.
It was not unusual for our dedicatead team to visit 15 fire stations in a year under this contract of rolling refurbishment, with unexpected call outs being added following flood damage or vandalism.
By way of example, works completed during the period 1 January to 31 May 2013 included painting to the control room, locker rooms and toilets at Northallerton Fire Station, the gents toilet at Acomb and Ripon Fire Stations, a complete redecoration to Scarborough and Boroughbridge Fire Stations, and offices at York Fire Station.
