Training

To maintain a safe and competent workforce, we are fully committed to ensuring personnel are trained to meet the demands of their working environments along with the skills required to meet client expectations.

In this regard and in addition to in-house Health, Safety & Environmental Training, we deliver the Industrial Coatings Applicator Training Scheme (ICATS) via our own qualified trainers within purpose modified premises.  This includes the Industrial Coating Applicator Training along with specialist modules for abrasive blast cleaning, spraying and supervision.  Accreditation to ICATS permits work to be carried out on the Network Rail Infrastructure and Highways Agency Structures, thereby complying with specification NHSS 19A.

A recent addition to our Training team means that we now offer in-house training in Driver CPC.  This is now compulsory training for professional drivers with vehicles exceeding 3.5 tonnes and involves 35 hours of Professional Competency training.  We also offer driver assesment, a consultancy and advisory service, and instruction in accident avoidance, defensive driving and fuel economy.

Other required supplementary disciplines are sourced from accredited third party training providers.  Our Training Department, in conjunction with our HSE Department, arranges and oversees the training delivered by these external organisations to ensure our safe execution of contracts.

This combination of in-house and external training means that our personnel are trained and accredited in the following categories:
