Education & Health

Contracts in the Health and Education sectors require not only a thoroughly competent workforce, but also a sympathetic and flexible approach. Working in occupied premises carries its own responsibilities and Tighe operatives and management understand that our presence on site needs to be as unobtrusive as possible.

We will do our utmost to facilitate the continued workings of the establishment in which we find ourselves and are quite open to using an out of hours approach if this is required.

We believe that qualities such as these are part of the reason for our success in obtaining contracts in this sector, whether we are acting as subcontractor for regional and national building and construction companies, or working for universities, colleges and schools directly.

The 4 year framework for Durham University, carrying out redecoration to student accommodation, teaching areas and communal sections of buildings, has recently come to an end and we hope to be able to renew our relationship with the Estates and Buildings Department in the near future.  We hve recently been awarded a place on the University of Sunderland framework.  Likewise, we have secured further orders from Serco for decorating to the Emergency Planning College in Easingwold.

Existing clients GFM and FES FM continue to trust us with their painting requirements, the former at a series of schools in Rochdale and Runwell Hospital in Essex and the latter at various health centres.  Tom Willoughby entrusted us with painting works at various schools in Yorkshire, as did Waco (Preston Park and Hallesden Schools, London) and F Parkinson with Pallister School, Middlesbrough.

In the Health sector we have experience of carrying out large contracts, for example, projects at Castle Hill Hospital in Hull for Kier and Shepherd Construction, and St Georges Hospital, Lincoln for Costain.  Apart from the work mentioned above, we have worked for Tom Willoughby at Darlington Hospital and for SDC at Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge.
