Whilst not a mainstream source of work, we do have the calibre of operative to undertake specialist works of this nature. Past examples of work undertaken include HMS Victory, HMS Monitor, SS Nomadic, the Imperial War Museum, private listed residences in London and elsewhere, and listed buildings and structures forming part of the road and rail network.

In this regard many of the major Highways bridge contracts which we have completed have involved blasting and painting works to listed structures.  For example, Bigsweir Bridge for Gloucestershire County Council which is a Grade 2 Listed structure.

Similarly, many signal boxes and parts of railway stations are also listed structures and, therefore, require a more sympathetic treatment.

These works are not limited to the Decorators’ services and indeed our contract carried out in Belfast on the SS Nomadic, a tug which was instrumental in helping the Titanic begin its fateful voyage, involved blast cleaning and specialised coating application to what was basically a rusting wreck following its decommissioning in the 1970s after a period of use as a floating restaurant on the River Seine in Paris.
