Shop Applied Protective Coatings

The Tighe Group has 3 factories at which we can offer the full range of shot blasting and application of multi-coat painting systems. All factories have adequate laydown and storage areas to accommodate any major project. If required, these can be made available to our clients by prior arrangement. Our factories all have easy access to the motorway network.

The Factories

East Common Lane

This facility boasts an internal operational space of over 20,000 sq ft.  In addition to this we have external operational storage space of up to 35,000 sq ft.  The lifting capacity available at this factory includes 2 shop located cranes capable of lifting up to 15 tonne and a 40 tonne Goliath crane.  There are 2 manual blasting bays in addition to an automatic sectional blasting machine.

Foxhills

This factory has an internal operational space of over 135,000 sq ft made up of 4 bays, and again offers an external storage space of 22,000 sq ft.  Cranage capacity in Bay 1 comprises 1 No 3 tonne, Bay 2 has 1 No 7.5 tonne, Bay 3 has 1 No 25 tonne and 1 No 10 tonne gantry crane, whilst Bay 4 has 1 No 10 tonne gantry crane.  These are complemented by adequate forklift support and a further crane may be added in the near future.  This factory has 2 blasting booths, the original one being 21m x 8m x 6m high and the 2013/2014 state of the art additional booth being 30m x 8m x 8m.

 


In addition to the above, both our East Common Lane and Foxhills factories have the capability of maintaining temperatures to ensure compliance with most specifications and any inclement weather.

Both facilities are supported by extensive mobile plant such as forklifts and side loaders, and have the additional benefit of our own articulated lorry and trailer.


The Shoal, Stratford

Doncaster

One of the largest off-site blasting and coating factories in the UK, this facility has 3 Goliath cranes with a singular lifting capacity of 25 tonnes and a combined lifting capacity of 55 tonnes, if required.  This location covers an area of 5.5 acres and has some 36,200 sq ft of main workshop area with ancillary buildings housing paint stores, offices and fitting shops.  The extensive yard areas also benefit from this cranage capacity as they can operate to both extremities of the property.

Quality Accreditation

Our team of experienced management and operative personnel are fully trained to industry standard.

Inspectors are trained to both NACE and ICorr levels and operatives are trained to ICATS Applicator, Blaster and Sprayer standards, which are a pre-requisite for such clients as Network Rail and the Highways Agency.
